I don't understand it. It seems rather miraculous to me. One moment thunderous skies. The next birds sing their morning song. Thank you, Lord, for turning everything for good, for us, in your time.
When we are in the midst of the storm we may not understand why things are as they are. But to God be the glory! We don't always have to understand everything or fix everything. If we can hold on, love God ,worship him, give him the praise and honor he deserves even in the hard times, and wait patiently. He will incline to us.
It is during these trying times we can learn to trust God more. To know more, just how much he loves us and to love him more. We can learn to keep our hearts and minds fixed on him, his goodness and his promises. We can learn to rest in him and know that he is God, and that he has plans for us. Plans for our good and not for evil. Plans to give us hope for the future.(my paraphrase) Jeremiah 29:11 Plans that are higher than our own. Let's open up our hearts and receive everything he as in store for us and give all that he has to give through us.
Jesus, was the greatest example of laying down his own wants, even; his very life. Having gone though the persecutions and beatings and imprisonment, he hung on the "Old Rugged Cross" He cried out to our Heavenly Father, and said "Father take this cup from me, but not my will; but yours be done."
Jesus prevailed through the storm, and what glory God brought forth, when Sunday arrived the stone was rolled away. Jesus revealed himself as God's miracle; and the people cried out "He's Alive!" They believed he was who he had said he was; The Son of God! Many followed his teaching from that day forward. They learned the truth and were set free.
Jesus may not have wanted to go through the hardships and rejection or death on that cross, but he trusted God had a plan for good for himself but also for those God would minister to because he was a willing and obedient Son.
These sufferings that we suffer are nothing compared to what Jesus suffered. We could not take the punishment for our sin the sickness and disease and infirmities that he bore on the cross for us.
Let us, like Paul, the disciple of Jesus, count our sufferings as a small thing. The glory that God will bring about because we were willing to allow him to work in us through these test and trial's will be miraculous. Others can learn of Gods' great love and learn to trust in and follow him. Let us let God change our hearts by his glory and let our lives be that witness of the great love that he has for all mankind.
